About:
Introducing the new fragrance line of 1616 Arita Japan, ‘Scent by TY’.
Teruhiro Yanagihara lends his artistic touch to the product design of the incense and candles, while the artist Izumi Kan curated the scents for Scent by TY Standard, including incense, aroma candles, and hand soap. Izumi, with a deep appreciation for a place’s essence and atmosphere, embarked on a journey to Arita, the birthplace of 1616/Arita Japan, to source fitting ingredients. Drawing inspiration from the layers of time since 1616, elements like pine trees, Arita-yaki white porcelain, and Arita’s historic showroom have been transformed into fragrances. The result is a captivating blend featuring the aroma of pine trees, enhanced by vibrant notes of litcea and cardamom, creating a vivid and woody scent. This exceptional fragrance creation embodies the brand’s signature style, offering a truly unique experience that even evokes a subtle sense of nostalgia.
