For the celebration of four hundred years of porcelain production in Japan, the prefecture of Saga invited sixteen international designers in Japan, with the purpose of creating sixteen contemporary porcelain collections in Arita: 2016/
Designer Tomás Alonso has fashioned a collection including of a series of containers inspired by basic geometric shapes, colors and sizes. Not designed to be used only for a specific function, the items are thought to be freely arranged according to the context.
This contemporary range offers total freedom of use, whether the containers are used as desktop storage devices, simple ornaments or for serving food at the dining table.
